So, the week, ends here at TRIBO tattoo in Prag...

I would like to thank a lot the TRIBO' s team to make my comings always easy and comfortable! and also a big thank you to my customers of this week who came from Czech Republic, USA, Germany, Austria and Slovaquia...That was so great to meet again some people i tattooed some years ago and some new faces!

Daniel Higgs was an american tattoo artist, very framous back in the early 90's...if i remember this period he was working with his good friend Freddie Corbin...I knew him too because he was the very powerful singer of LUNGFISH. Some of you will remember their crazy records done on Washington DC's Dischord records...

When Michal told me he was doing a gig all alone in the middle of a forest near the village of Elsyn Dvůr, in Bohemia, i was just like a kid! Specially because it was a very private event and they invited me too. Adam from Silver Rocket records invited us in the family house...so we were maybe 15 people with a few children on the border of the forest in the middle of nowhere listening to some banjos songs....Awesome! thank you for that great moment!

...and the night before Adam was organising the gig of BLACK HEART PROCESSION...

A great moment too, very calm, quiet, respectful....people were really knowing them, respecting the silence in their music as it unfortunately rarely happens...

mmh, well i write that because i wanted to make a small video of that amazing moment with my ipod...It was really dark, and i click on the wrong button..Ooops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now people know MEDEIA....

now i know some more local beers. As i escaped to the bar for not being shot by hundred eyes looking, searching to the criminal idiot that destroyed that pure silence! ahahahhah! all my apologizes! again!

(One day i really have to write something about Pierre Richard. I really feel like him in some uncomfortable moments!!!! no im worst!)

Whatever, let me be back to my Bohemian trip with Michal, Maria and the children!

...I was writing about Daniel Higgs, his solo carreer and his active creations as the singer of LUNGFISH!..it was cool because after his gig we could have talked about tattoos and the fact that in 1993 (he reminded me the date!) i had to open for his band in Poland on their tour for 5 dates with my own old band PORTOBELLO BONES...

And at the last minute it didnt happen because some tour agencies decided to put some wannabes from somewhere...But that was really great to talk! he explained us also that at a concert in a small Czech vilage a man came with his horse to watch the gig! ahahaahh!

See you soon!!! after a small personal trip in Bretagne in France, i will be within a week in Paris in the best shop in town: ART CORPUS. Some of you who have been there know what im talking about!!!

And after this session in Paris, i will roost and tattoo in heaven at the HELLFEST, then will do a few tattoos at BLACK PEARL in La Roche sur Yon and then will fly to Kuching in BORNEO and in SINGAPORE for tattooing over there....

yesterday we made a photo shoot session for an interview to come in a great Czech magazine called FULL MOON.
Lenka Špryslová is a photographer who did that photo shoot with me in Prag. You can see her work here!
And as i always look like a guy that shouldn't be on pictures, i proposed her to play with my accordion in the street at the crossing light!
But i lost my monkey, then we went near the river, the swans hate accordion. Lazy bastards!!! ahahah!

Tattoo session in Prag by PETER BOBEK !!!

Yesterday night, when the shop was closed, mister Peter Bobek made my third tattoo session to try to finish the tattoo we started on my ribs something like more than 2 or 3 years ago...We do not really remember...He tattooed me 2 hours and a half, ohhhhh so awful!!!!!!! there is one more to do, we will probably try that before the TATTOO ART FEST in Paris on september...And,ah! yes it hurst like hell! bouhouhouh! im broken today...

Some new work done here in France, at BLACK PEARL near the atlantic ocean....And as i forgot to publish it, the leg tattooed was done in Arctic a few weeks ago...stay tuned!

JACQUES MARTIN MY HERO!

Once upon a time, around the mid 70's early 80's, when i was a child, i mean verrrrrrry younger than now; we were allowed to watch TV on sundays...In this time there were 3 channels in France and we were lucky enough to watch Leon Zitrone in Black and White...But JACQUES MARTIN was our hero as he was animating a great tv show called "Incroyable mais vrai" that we could translate by "strange but true"...And after watching, with our eyes wide opened, some people with 11 fingers, or the most heavily tattooed man in the world, or the woman with the longest nails, we were talking about that all the next week at school...of course!

So, when you re a young boy around 10 years old, you re just thinking how to feature in the WORLD GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS and kick the ass of all your friends at shcool...
...mmmmhh, not so easy in fact! i was thinking to make a painting with the longest title ever written for a painting. I also tried to eat gingerbread with some very strong mustard, but it failed after I ate the half of one...
Then, i left this idea, one more pre-adolescent frustration in my young life that i had to forget...

BUT today, wow, you wont believe it, i received by the post a big certificate from the GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In fact, last year in England, at the Tatoo Jam convention, i heard a rumor about that, but as you can read it, i am a very super highly talented expert in english, i understood, something like "mbsanbjcjhdgcjdhjdwbfjwbjbjhbjhbworld record tattoo artists skjsfkwdjfdsjcvdsjqvfqdjbc" and suddenly a nice woman came, and offered me a tee shirt, saying that all the tattoo artists working at the convention over won a new champion something blahblahbah, madam i was watching at your eyes, and i was just moving my head that meant "yes" without understanding anything again. i felt alone, but Peter Bobek was not so far and i was sure he wouldnt understant anything too. So, it meant i was not soooo alone.



So, as a brave warrior, i wanted to share this treasure, this CERTIFICATE OF GUINNESS WORLD RECORD!!!!!!!!

Ah! This tattoo was like hell to do!!!! argh!!!!! it looks simple but when the guy came and asked me to do "hate" that you can read "love" in a mirror, i thought he was under drugs! But, well, we did it and i forgot to publish it! oops! it was at the last tattoo convention in Nantes! thank you to him for the headache!..

Ah! I forgot to put this new hit single we made in Arctic a few days ago...my apologizes!

As i wrote before, im back in the shop BLACK PEARL in La Roche sur Yon for a few days...Its sooooo cool to hang around with those crazy pals! I mean Yann des Bois, Jerome the boss and Franck our apprenctice!..
So, as you can see it is a very stressful atmosphere! ahahah!


...Here are some work done yesterday and today...
(The black arm is a piece i started i think a year ago...In between, Guy from Toulouse added some animals and we decided to link everything with heavy black work that i like so much for the heavy visual impact! then its been done in two sessions! Congratulations!)...
